vs Oak Knoll

Wardlaw-Hartridge 2-3 Oak Knoll

RAMS faced a fierce test today from an Oak Knoll team with an undefeated record scoring 17 goals and conceding just 1 in their opening 4 games. They beat Gill 7-0, so RAMS knew that they were in for their most difficult game of the season.

Oak Knoll had some excellent individuals in their 11, but were unable to impose such a huge threat against the might of the TEAM play from RAMS. RAMS came together and worked extremely hard to limit the chances that Oak Knoll thought they were going to have.

Defensive miscommunication from RAMS allowed the opposition to quickly go 2 goals up. Not for long, with an emphatic response to make the game 2-2 through Leila scoring 2 goals of sheer determination. strength and speed. Some ping pong in the 6 yard box let the ball slip in for Oak Knoll to steal the victory 3-2. RAMS ladies left the field with their heads held high expressing their delight at their performance and excited by the challenging encounter. A truly impressive goalkeeper performance from Nikolette kept the game competitive with saves worthy of a Hope Solo "How it's Done" video.

Congratulations RAMS for this week's HARD WORK!!

vs Golda Och Academy

Wardlaw-Hartridge 6-2 Golda Och Academy

Having lost the previous game 1-0 at Gill, RAMS needed a solid performance to bounce back into form. With just 9 players on a hot afternoon, the task was no doubt an uphill one against a passionate Golda Och team. RAMS tightened up their passing, played solid positions and learned the benefit of working SMARTER not HARDER! Communication and determination throughout the field led the RAMS to a 6-2 victory! Congratulations on an AWESOME display of soccer!!
