Fielding a large squad of 19 on the day, everyone put forth their best efforts and despite losing the game there were many reasons to celebrate! Alex Lack finished off a great team passing move to tie up the game 1-1 with a cool slotted pass into the corner of the net.
Through sheer physicality Rutgers Prep were able to score successfully from a 1v1 after scoring previously from a corner kick. A goalless 2nd half highlighted a determined Rams team that were eager to prove they could compete with the big girls representing the opposition.
A very encouraging display from everyone including successful team debut's from Mikayla Cole, Leila Hernandez-Webster, Zoe Rose, Nadia Valcourt and Giavanna Brito.
Hard work on the training field before the next game will make for a fantastic soccer display when the 6th graders return from their Frost Valley trip!
